DAY 1 – 4
On arrival into Livingstone from your international flight and after collecting your luggage, you will make your way to your next flight @P0 0705 departing Livingstone at 12:20 landing into Lusaka at 13:30.
On arrival in Lusaka, the Tours Africa team will assist you onto your next flight P0 0616 departing Lusaka at 15:00 and landing into Royal airport at 16:00.
You will be met at the Royal airstrip from your arrival flight by our Time + Tide guide and vehicle and transferred via game drive into Chongwe camp.
3 nights – Time + Tide Chongwe Camp
Enjoy the best views in the Lower Zambezi, looking across the meeting point of two mighty rivers.
Each safari tent set along the confluence of the Chongwe River which winds through the forested valley meeting with the mighty Zambezi River, creating a haven for wildlife and exceptional sightings.
DAY 4 – 6
After breakfast bid farewell to Chongwe. The team will transfer you back via road to Royal airport.
Board your flight for Mfuwe on P0 0620 departing Royal at 08:10 landing at Mfuwe at 10:05.
You will be met at the Mfuwe airstrip from your arrival flight by our Time + Tide guide and vehicle and transferred via game drive into Kakuli camp.
2 nights – Time + Tide Kakuli
Kakuli, meaning old buffalo bull, was the nickname given by locals to Norman Carr, the pioneer of Zambia walking safaris.
DAY 6 – 9
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred either via game drive or accompanied walk to Mchenja camp.
3 Nights – Time + Tide Mchenja
Mchenja is the local name for ebony, and the camp is tucked into a shady ebony grove beside the Luangwa River in the heart of South Luangwa National Park.
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred via game drive to Chinzombo.
DAY 9 – 11
Named after a type of tree which grows near camp, Time + Tide Chinzombo’s natural building materials and vintage accents blend modern style with the best of a traditional bush safari camp.
2 Nights – Time + Tide Chinzombo
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred via game drive to Mfuwe Airstrip for your onward flight P0 0801 departing Mfuwe at 08:40 landing at 09:50. You will be met and assisted by Tours Africa in Lusaka airport who will accompany you to your onward flight P0 0704 departing Lusaka at 10:35, arriving into Livingstone at 11:45.
